Country Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job description

Digikala Group is seeking to recruit an outstanding finance executive with the intellectual horsepower, the successful track record and the leadership skills to assume the position of Country CFO. The role reports into Group CFO.


The Country CFO will assume responsibility for all financial matters with Digikala including financial reporting, performing financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, risk management, currency hedging, financial audits, contract analysis, investments, tax, legal and banking relationships.


  • Oversee financial and accounting functions so as to achieve the organization’s business objectives and ensure compliance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.

  • Lead the team and grow the finance capabilities to serve the growing needs of Digikala and support an increasingly complex operation.

  • Lead or support fund raising activities, participate in investor roadshows and tell the story of Digikala from an investment perspective.

  • Manage investor relations, business relationship with bankers and advisers as well as support supplier relationships.

  • Prepare forecasts and insights to the CEOs and the Board of Directors as well as forward looking analysis to help drive decisions; and recommending actions to improve profitability and cash flow.

  • Major transaction support - deal structuring, valuation work, manage due diligence process.

  • Manage financial operations, statutory accounts, international tax structuring etc.

  • Control costs and advise on capital allocation; i.e. where to invest, where to manage costs tightly.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of successfully building, developing and motivating teams in a developing market environment.

  • Has worked in a high growth, fast paced, highly volatile and highly ambitious situation.

  • An exceptional ability to synthesize uncertainty and volatility into a clear set of financial statements and forecasting.

  • Ability to work effectively with people from all levels and from diverse backgrounds through excellent influencing and adaptable communication skills.

  • Effective member of the Executive Leadership Team as a strategic, analytical, and articulate contributor.

  • Investor relations, working closely with investors and investment bankers.

  • A self-starter, s/he must be a keen advocate of teamwork and personal integrity.

  • High energy with strong influencing skills and the ability to successfully build, execute and manage within an organization.

  • Proven leadership ability with strong conflict management skills, tolerance for ambiguity, commercial acumen, business ethics and bottom line focused.

  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.

  • Attention to details and hands-on.

  • Experienced working in a start-up is preferred.

  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

  • English language fluency
